Jean Alesi, the popular French driver, won his maiden and only Grand Prix Victory at the 1995 Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal. Fittingly, it came on the day of his 31st birthday. Alesi took the win in the Ferrari 412T2 car number 27 and covered the 68 laps in one hour, 46 minutes, 33 seconds. Following him onto the podium were Jordan team drivers Rubens Barrichello, finishing second, and Eddie Irvine at third. Jean Alesi retired from Formula One racing in 2001, having amassed 242 total points and 32 podium finishes.
