This is a limited edition of 750 prints, which was produced by Freck’s Auto Art, Inc. It is a licensed Minardi product. The scene features Formula One driver Marc Gene in the Minardi Ford at the San Marino Grand Prix held May 2nd, 1999. The choice of Gene for the second 1999 Minardi drive took a lot of people by surprise primarily because, outside of national Spanish racing, he was virtually unknown. He held the honor of being the first Minardi driver to score a championship point since 1995. His background is typical of many current drivers with a career dating back to 1986 when, aged 12, he began in karts. Two years spent learning his craft paid off and in 1988 he won both the Catalan and Spanish National Series. That opened the door onto the European and World Karting scene, leading the way to his seat in the second Minardi at Formula One. Marc Gene personally autographed copies of this edition, which was produced by Freck’s Auto Art, Inc. The quality of the artwork in this print is truly incredible. There are a very small number of unsigned publisher’s proofs available while supplies last!
