This scene by noted motorsports artist Juan Carlos Ferrigno depicts the start of the 1967 Monaco Grand Prix featuring Jim Clark in the Lotus 33 Car No. 12. Jim Clark took the fastest lap of the race on lap 38, but was forced to retire on lap 42 when his rear suspension failed. Car No. 18 – Lorenzo Bandini – Ferrari 312 V12, three time F-1 world champion No. 8 Jack Brabham – Brabham BT 19 Repco, No. 9 Denny Hulme – Brabham BT20 Repco, No. 7 John Surtees – Honda RA 273. The race was subsequently won by Denny Hulme driving the Brabham BT20, who became the 1967 Formula One World Champion. This print was published by Freck’s Auto Art, Inc. and the edition was limited to 850 signed and numbered prints.
A limited number of copies were personally autographed by Brabham and Surtees, the only surviving drivers of this group. Included with your order are snapshots of these legends of motorsport autographing these prints.
