This print is from an edition of 500, taken from an original painting by Juan Carlos Ferrigno. The composition was the winner of Grand Prix Sportique’s First Annual International Motor and Motor Racing Art Competition, sponsored by Autoglass. The legendary Fangio won five Formula One World Driver’s Championships, a record which stood for 46 years until eventually beaten by Michael Schumacher, with four different teams (Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz and Maserati). This feat that has not been repeated since. Many still consider him to be the greatest driver of all time.
