This beautiful print was done as an edition of 500. The scene is taken from the 1958 Moroccan Grand Prix. World Champion Mike Hawthorn won Britain’s first-ever world driving championship in 1958 with a hard fought second place finish at the exotic circuit at Casablanca. The tall and always smiling Englishman drove his Ferrari Dino 246 into the record books and then, ever as good as his word, retired from the racing world at the young age of 29. He died in an automobile accident only a few months later in January of 1959.
