Dimensions: 20″ x 24″ Gilles Villeneuve is recognized as one of the greatest Formula One drivers of all time. This scene depicts Gilles in the #12 Ferrari 312T4 leading his arch rival Rene Arnoux at the 1979 United States Grand Prix at Watkins Glen. Villeneuve won the 59 lap race in one hour 52 minutes 17 seconds, with Arnoux finishing 49 seconds later. Like their epic battle at Dijon, this was another example of great racing between two heralded drivers. This limited edition of 500 signed and numbered prints was produced by Freck’s Auto Art, Inc. from an original painting commissioned from English artist Simon Ward. A limited number of these prints have been autographed by Emerson Fittipaldi in remembrance of his friend and fellow competitor.
