| "Grand Prix, A Tribute"
Artist: Nicholas Watts Driver/Actor: James Garner Dimensions: 25" x 32.5" The 1966 movie "Grand Prix" , directed by the late John Frankenheimer,
is one of the greatest motor racing movies ever made. For many,
it was a glimpse of the international world of Formula One racing.
Leading actor James Garner, who was already a racing enthusiast,
immersed himself into the role of Pete Aron. Bob Bondurant, who was
still active as a driver, and Jim Russell prepared Garner for many
of his real "on track" scenes. One example was the Brands Hatch Fireball,
which left him bruised and with a cancelled insurance policy. Close
to forty years on, this film is still a great and historically significant
racing movie which has stood the test of time. The print is autographed
by James Garner and artist Nicholas Watts. Artist remarques
appear in the lower left and right corners.
